Introducing the heart behind Fire in Motion Dance Company: Owner and Artistic Director, Brooklyn (Allen) Buckler. Her passion for dance and years of diverse training have shaped the vibrant community we have today.

Brooklyn’s journey began at Dance ConXion, where she trained in multiple styles and created original choreography. At just 13, she started her first community dance program, which has since grown into the thriving studio she now leads.

Her path has taken her across the globe, including a scholarship to the Barcelona Dance Tour in 2016, and through post-secondary studies at Ryerson University and the University of Calgary, where she graduated with honors in 2022 with a BFA in Dance. In July 2025, Brooklyn also became ADAPT certified, further strengthening her expertise in safe and effective dance education.

With a Fine Arts degree, a diploma in Business Management and Entrepreneurship, and certification in dance pedagogy, Brooklyn combines artistry, teaching, and leadership to create an inspiring learning environment. At Fire in Motion, she is dedicated to fostering growth, inclusivity, and a lifelong love of dance.

Miss Emma’s dance journey began at just four years old, and by the age of nine she was competing with Precision Dance Company. During her competitive years, she developed not only strong technical skills but also a true love for the art of dance. One of her proudest accomplishments was performing with her team at the Dance World Cup in Montreal in 2013, where they earned first place.

Her passion for working with children led her to pursue studies at Acadia University and Mount Saint Vincent University, studying Child and Youth Studies. While at Acadia, Emma discovered her love for teaching by leading dance classes for children in the community—a passion that has only grown stronger.

Today, Miss Emma brings her knowledge and care into her role at Kingston Elementary School, where she continues to make a positive impact on young lives. She is also entering her second year of the prestigious ADAPT Teacher Training Program. She will officially graduate and become ADAPT certified in July 2026, further expanding her expertise in safe, effective, and inspiring dance education.

From dancer to educator, Miss Emma’s journey reflects her unwavering dedication to both children and the art of dance. We are so excited for the joy, creativity, and passion she brings to our studio family!

Miss Savannah’s life-long love of dance began at age 6 after joining Dance Conxion; the studio she continued with as not only a competitive dancer from age 7-18, but also as a dance teacher/choreographer.

Her dedication to dance provided her with many exciting audition and invitational opportunities, including competing at 5678’s Dance World Cups in Vancouver and Niagara Falls, traveling on the Paris Dance Tour, and attending summer intensives with the National Ballet School of Canada and the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School.

After high school, Miss Savannah continued her dance journey at Acadia University while completing her Bachelor of Kinesiology. She taught dancers through the Acadia Dance Community Club, and was a member of the university’s dance team – Dance Acadia; serving as Assistant Captain in her third year and Captain/Director in her fourth. Dance Acadia also provided opportunities to work with Acadia’s S.M.I.L.E Program, teaching dancers with disabilities.

Since then, Miss Savannah has pursued further education in esthetics and acupuncture, but her passion for dance never faded. Now entering the final year of her Acupuncture program, she is excitedly preparing not only to integrate her esthetics and acupuncture backgrounds into a career of helping others to look and feel their best, but also to finally be back in the studio sharing her love of dance!
